The publishers of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, 6th edition have been made aware that the first printing (July 2009 - blue cover) contains numerous errors. Complaints from researchers, students and librarians have induced APA to offer a compilation of the corrections online.
The explanation and compiled corrections for this printing can be found here on the APA website as a PDF download. They have also created an FAQ and a list of sample corrected pages.
There are many significant corrections. If you purchased the first printing of this APA manual edition, you should make yourself aware of the errors and corrections. Our suggestion would be to print out copies of the corrections and insert them in your APA manual so they will be there when you need them. Making notations on each page where corrections occur would also be useful.
If you have any subsequent printing, these errors were corrected in your edition.
