As it enters its 108th year, Town and Gown of USC is proud to offer over 175 merit based scholarships – totaling close to $1,300,000 - to deserving incoming freshmen and current undergraduate, and graduate students. Scholarships range from $6,000 to $10,000, are awarded annually, and are for tuition only. USC graduate students who are applying for the first time, and have maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.5, are eligible for scholarships. All scholarship recipients must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 while attending USC as a Town and Gown Scholar.
Applicants are required to:
Be United States citizens. Permanent residents do not qualify.
Be residents of Southern California. Bakersfield is the northern most boundary.
Demonstrate academic strengths, leadership, and community involvement.
Be full-time doctoral students with 6 or more units per semester in a program. Tuition remission disqualifies the applicant.
