Dear Cohorts of 2003, 2006, and 2009,
Please review the following reminders and important deadlines:
1) Thank you to those of you who have already submitted your Permit to Enroll form for Spring 2012. If you haven’t already, please send me your respective Permit to Enroll form so we can get you registered for the Spring Semester by the January 6, 2012 deadline!
2) For students who need to complete their Qualifying Exam, the last day to add EDUC 794a and drop EDUC 791 for Spring 2012 is Friday, January 27, 2012. Please make sure to register for EDUC 791 by Friday, January 6, 2012 to avoid any late fees! For students who have completed the EDUC 794a and EDUC 794b requirements and hope to have their Spring registration waived, you must successfully defend and upload your dissertation by Friday, January 27, 2012. I strongly encourage all of you to partake in the upcoming Fall DSC workshops! as they will help you finish your dissertation and meet the deadlines!
3) The last official day of classes for Fall semester is December 14, 2011. Winter recess is from December 15, 2011 – January 8, 2012. If you haven’t scheduled your Qualifying Exam or your dissertation defense, please contact Margaret Cyrus at cyrus@usc.edu or 213-740-9323 to reserve a room in WPH, acquire AV equipment, and reserve parking for your Outside Committee Member. Please make sure to let me know when you have scheduled your Qualifying Exam and/or Dissertation Defense!
4) Please don’t forget to RSVP (to me) for the March 5th Dissertation Submission Workshop from 4:00 - 6:00pm in WPH 403! If you are unable to attend or are defending prior to the date, please contact me to set up an individual meeting to go over the important Dissertation Defense packet materials.
5) The Ed.D. Program Office will be closed on December 26, 2011 – January 2, 2012 for Winter Recess. We wish you all the best in the New Year!
